but here's some proof that I've been alive and well:

This month has been absolutely flying by.
I'm all the same thrilled at the vitality of my days and frightened of their quick passing.
León is visiting from Cuernavaca for the whole month of July!
To name a few things, we sat on the ledge in the Sear's Tower;
ate Chicago pizza after the beach with Jess, Mike, Sarai, and Jake,
and went to the Thai festival downtown to (obviously) stuff our faces with pad thai.
This weekend Jake and I canoed (and jumped over 13 feet from a riverbank into the water)
with his family and Nate.
That little girl is Stella, almost seven months old, and she's hanging out here this morning.
I just put her to sleep singing "Amazing Grace"
and it opened my eyes to a very timely lesson about how I get all worked up in this
finite world & finite human body, and the most amazing source of God's comfort and grace
is always bigger, truer, and closer than I think.
By the end of the song I was singing more for myself than her, she was already snoozing.
How rich is this life!
After 15 days here, I can take credit for introducing León
to bagels, peanut butter & mac 'n cheese.
But here is a video from his camera of Annie and Brit
in my kitchen, giving León his first peanut butter cup:
May you find immense peace and grace.
