No One Greater

"When God made his promise to Abraham,

since there was no one greater for Him to swear by,

He swore by Himself."

Hebrews 6:13

This is the God we have.

The God who knows us.

The Greatest of all.

"When Christ came as high priest 

of the good things that are already here,

he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle

that is not man-made, 

that is to say, no a part of this creation.

He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves,

but he entered the Most Holy Place 

ONCE FOR ALL,

BY HIS OWN BLOOD."

Hebrews 9:11-12

This is our God's Son.

The only son, the only saviour,

who did everything he did,

to be perfect for us.

"Men swear by someone greater than themselves,

and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.

...

We have this hope, as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."

Hebrews 6:16,19

This morning I am amazed

at the greatness of our God.

May we all be amazed,

every day we live.
