The Harvest is Plenty

Jesus went through all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues,
preaching the good news of the kingdom and

healing every disease and sickness.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them,
because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples,

"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,
to send out workers into his harvest field."

Matthew 9:35-38

"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,
to send out workers into his harvest field."

Today Roosevelt, SAIC and Columbia
begin the weekend of loving people,
showing them what we're about,
and harvesting.

Last night we shared
our hopes, fears, expectations.
Everyone just wants
to have deeper
friendships.
I am encouraged.

I expect a lot of changes,
new job, new marriage, new classes.
I have no idea
how to do it.
But I want to continue
to pour energy
into this group.

The workers are so few,
the workers are also
close-knit.
